Sweet Nectar
“Sweet Nectar” is a Hand Colored Solar Etching Print. I used a photograph which I took in my backyard in Prescott of a hummingbird enjoying nectar from my fire poker plant to create a transparency for my sun exposure. The copper, chemically coated plate was placed below the transparency in the sun for the exposure which I stopped with running water. I dried and flattened the print and then hand colored it with colored pencil.
