Mule Deer Stag
“Mule Deer Stag” is a Cyanotype Print which I created after photographing many deer in my backyard in Prescott, Arizona as subjects. Using the process of applying a solution of potassium ferricyanide and ferric ammonium citrate to Rives BFK printmaking paper, then covering the paper tightly with a transparency which I created of the deer and exposing it to the sun. Finally, I stopped the chemical process with running water and allowed the print to dry, pressing it flat.
